Who we are
A Swedish Company located in the tiny village of Brantevik in the heart of Österlen. We have developed Blinky-LiteTM, an open-source, modular toolbox that allows us to deploy sophisticated, industrial-grade control solutions with the speed of a startup. Because our toolbox provides secure remote access to complex equipment, we remotely operate control systems all over the world; from Budapest, to the south of France, to the United States,
A hypothetical scenario.
Besides letting us work from beautiful Österlen, why is remote access so important?
Imagine you are starting up your production line after a long maintenance shutdown.
- During one lonely owl shift, with hardly anybody on site, your facility suffers a power glitch. Nothing big. Just a few line cycles.
- Most equipment stays on but lots of equipment trips off.
- The sleepy control room now becomes flooded with alarms and the operators valiantly struggle to turn things back on.
- But on the bottom of the alarm list, is one lonely little pump that has tripped off.
But unknown to the operators, this pump is important, really important. It cools a critical piece of equipment and now things are starting to warm up
- If only the right expert or group of experts could have been immediately notified.
- If only the experts could have immediately taken action in the dark of the middle of the night,
then disaster could have been avoided.
Sounds melodramatic? From our long experience working at large facilities, we can assure you it is not. That is why we developed the Blinky-LiteTM control platform.
The Solution - The Blinky-LiteTM Toolbox
What is so different about Blinky-Lite? Well, it is in the way Blinky-LiteTM communicates.
- Most other control platforms use polling, just like your child continually asking you “Are we there yet?” on a long trip.
- Blinky-LiteTM uses publish-subscribe messaging, similar to listening to the radio and the station interrupts with “We interrupt this program for a special announcement.”
With publish subscribe, three important things happen.
- Connections are made from the inside to the outside. As we have proved at CERN, this is a much more secure way to start a communication.
- Messaging must follow a disciplined format leading to a secure full stack solution. No more python scripts running around like rats in a castle.
- Reliable edge computing becomes a reality. With edge computing, you put your intelligence next to the device you want to control, giving you high performance with high reliability.

Our Business Model: Hardware & Automation
While the Blinky-LiteTM is open-source and distributed under the MIT License, we monetize the physical and logical layers of building a control system:
- Instrumentation and high performance hardware: We provide integrated high-precision instrumentation for a wide variety of interfaces and requirements.
- Connectivity: We provide integrated interfaces that act as the secure gateway for your hardware.
- Automation Intelligence: We develop custom automation layers allowing sensors and actuators to interact autonomously and safely.
